I can see the light!!

I met with the oncologist yesterday and the Horcrux continues to shrink, so YAY!!!  Based on this news, he recommended that I finish my last two rounds of chemo, so 4 sessions in total over five weeks, then a few weeks of rest, then on to surgery.  He set me up with a surgical planning session with my surgical oncologist on Jan 28th so at that point we can come up with a game plan on the extent of my mammary removal, timelines, etc.  I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I know that I still have a long way to go before all is said and done.  We truly won’t know how much of the Horcrux was destroyed until after surgery and they get a chance to test/scan everything.  Once surgery is done, then there is radiation, then reconstruction so probably won’t be done with it all until June.  Of course, I hate to say that stuff because there are still a lot of unknowns and what I have stated is really best case scenario.  I know that my prayer warriors are still working overtime and I am so grateful to have so many people lifting me up in prayer and positive thoughts.  I still remember the intense, confusing feelings when I received that first terrifying call all those months ago and while it feels like another life, I know that If I have come this far, I can make it a few more months!  Until next time. . .
