Update - Molly's Husband and Sister on her behalf

Molly is much better at writing these posts than either of us will ever be.  She has received an enormous amount of outpouring of love, prayers, and well wishes from all her friends and family. We thank everyone for their support and prayers during this time.

After spending a week in the ICU, she is now at home on hospice care. She is comfortable and able to spend time with her cats. Oscar, her cat of 11 years, has been by her side since she got home last night. Molly has battled this cancer for the last two years and never complained a single time.  Up until last week, she tried every treatment offered to her. Hopefully, all the trials she has endured will help others in the future, including her tumor that is growing in a lab mouse, which she affectionately named Esperanza (Spanish for hope).

Over the weekend we asked her what she would want to tell all her friends and family.  She simply said, "Tell everyone that I love them very much, and that I feel all of the love right now."

  2. My name is Sierra Haley. Molly and I went through radiation treatment during the same time. We would chat while waiting for treatment each day in our fancy gowns. We even completed treatment around the same time. I always enjoyed her friendliness and contagious smile. She joined our last in person young adult cancer support group at UT Southwestern prior to the pandemic. We were all so touched by her story and sweet spirit. I was so happy she was able to join. I am sending all my love and thoughts to her and you all, along with all of us in the young adult cancer support group. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.
